TRAINING FOR LAWYERS
"REPRESENTING THE CLIENT IN MEDIATION, WITH ELEMENTS OF MINDFULNESS"
"Negotiation is a word, a process, an art"
Steve Gates
-
Increase the effectiveness of your mediation and become the strategic advocate and advisor every client needs.
-
Lawyers must be able to help clients understand that mediation is about collaboration and creative problem-solving, not confrontation.
-
Unskilled vs. skilled mediation advocates: increase the value you deliver to your client.
-
If you are ready to transform your mediation practice from adversarial into effective collaboration, our tailored training will give you the skills and knowledge you need to succeed.
We invite you to a 2-day professional training organised by the ProMediation & ProWellness Foundation in cooperation with the Weinstein International Foundation, as part of the international project "Strengthening the role of professional advocates in the out-of-court dispute resolution system".
When?
14 May (from the morning) – 15 May 2026 (until the afternoon)
Where?
DoubleTree by Hilton, Hotel and Conference Centre Warsaw, ul. Skalnicowa 21, 04-797 Warsaw
(free transport will be provided for participants on 14 May on the route: Warsaw Central Station – Hotel and Conference Centre Warsaw, DoubleTree by Hilton).
Why take part?
-
Judges and mediators from the USA have confirmed their participation as speakers, in person (including representatives of the Weinstein International Foundation and GEMME, the European Association of Judges for Mediation)
-
The training will foster mutual inspiration, exchange of experience, networking, and the creation of a group of professionals who use the ADR system effectively
-
The aim of the training is to increase the effectiveness of professional advocates' work. Current continuing legal education and professional traineeships do not equip Polish lawyers with these mediation-specific skills. This competence gap can undermine and destroy the value of mediation for clients and weaken trust in the process.
-
Drawing on our experience in mediations involving lawyers, we now offer specialist training in mediation advocacy designed to close that gap – enabling lawyers to acquire new competences and to: prepare their clients as effectively as possible, manage complex negotiation dynamics, and achieve meaningful outcomes.
-
The training will include mindfulness elements aimed at reducing stress and tension and improving focus and work organisation – in line with the standards of the Mindfulness In Law Society (USA)
-
Every participant who attends the entire training will receive a certificate of participation.
DON'T LET OUTDATED METHODS OF REPRESENTATION HOLD BACK YOUR CLIENTS' RESULTS.

-
The training is intended primarily for professional advocates who are already local leaders in mediation.
-
The participation fee is PLN 1,550 + 23% VAT (PLN 1,906.50), which represents 1/3 of the cost per participant. The remaining costs are covered by both organisers.
-
Every participant is provided with: accommodation in a double room, meals, transport on the route Warsaw Central Station – Hotel and Conference Centre Warsaw, DoubleTree by Hilton, and training materials.

DON'T WAIT!
Strengthen your professional preparation as an advocate and become the strategic advocate and advisor every client needs.
-
Representing clients in mediation requires attorneys (adwokaci) and legal counsels (radcowie prawni) to have a specific skill set that goes far beyond traditional courtroom tactics.
-
Effective preparation of clients for mediation requires: 1. strategic thinking, 2. effective communication, 3. emotional intelligence and 4. adaptability, in order to 5. steer the dialogue constructively.
-
In practice, the difference between trained and untrained advocates is clearly visible: the latter treat the session like a mini-trial, aggressively refining legal arguments instead of focusing on a solution. This antagonistic approach not only hinders progress, but also generates unnecessary tension and difficult emotions while missing the substance of the case itself.
